Whee Photography is based in Colonial Beach, Virginia. We specialize in photojournalistic event photography and natural light portraits.

The owner of Whee Photography is the award-winning photographer, Suzy Pietras-Smith, who works as a freelance photographer and journalist for a number of publications in the Northern Neck.

The name comes from Pietras-Smith being disabled and using a mobility scooter. She is known to ride the scooter, quickly, whiling yelling whee between events.

Pietras-Smith has a particular affinity for shooting concerts and music-related events. She has photographed bands from Buckcherry to Molly Hatchet and everything in between.

Not only has Pietras-Smith been published in numerous papers, but also monthly, quarterly and seasonal magazines. Her work is also featured in the Colonial Beach Visitor’s Guide as well as various CB organizations websites.
